ELLIA Product Care Guide

A handmade ELLIA leather bag is a "breathing"material. With proper care, the leather will acquire its own unique identity and will remain unchanged over time.

1. Daily Care

Protection from environmental conditions: Avoid prolonged exposure to strong sunlight, as it can alter the color of the leather. If your bag gets wet from rain, wipe it immediately with a soft, dry cloth and let it dry naturally in a shady place (never on a radiator).

Material Care: Avoid contact of the skin with alcohol, perfumes, hand creams or fatty substances, as they may create permanent stains.

2. Cleaning

Gentle Care: For everyday cleaning, a slightly damp (not wet) microfiber cloth is sufficient to remove dust.

Specialized Products: Only use products specifically designed for the type of leather of your bag. Always test any cleaner on a small, inconspicuous area (e.g. on the bottom of the bag) before applying it to the entire bag.

3. Storage

The Importance of the Dust Bag: When you are not using your bag, always place it in the fabric storage bag (dust bag) that we provided. Do not use plastic bags, as the leather needs to “breathe”.

Shape Retention: To keep the bag from losing its shape, fill the inside with white tissue paper or clean cloth (avoid newspapers, as the ink can stain the lining).

4. Conditioning

Once or twice a year, you can apply a special leather conditioner to maintain the elasticity and shine of the material, preventing any dryness or cracks.
